If you could take a little mental holiday and go to any imaginary place, where would you go?
And what would you do while you were there?

Send me a postcard, handmade or otherwise, from an imaginary location. It can be a place from a book or a movie or a piece of music, or some other world you made up. On the other side, write and tell me what you've been doing on your vacation from reality.

Postcard the seventy-seventh: Morro Volcano

It seems so many people get in the habit of vacationing in the same old place year after year.

Until suddenly, and almost out of nowhere, a brand new place appears!

Nick, who got to experience this rare wonder of nature, writes:

"I'm out here in beautiful Morro Bay. Unfortunately the long time volcanic plug has erupted. It's a little hot here now, but it keeps things interesting. Keep it cool!"

Thanks, Nick! Enjoy visiting the very newest hot spot on the planet. Some day you'll be able to tell people that you knew about Morro Volcano before it was cool. Literally.
