How's this place work?

If you could take a little mental holiday and go to any imaginary place, where would you go?
And what would you do while you were there?

Send me a postcard, handmade or otherwise, from an imaginary location. It can be a place from a book or a movie or a piece of music, or some other world you made up. On the other side, write and tell me what you've been doing on your vacation from reality.

All postcards to be addressed to:

I'll scan a selection of postcards and post them to the blog for all and sundry to enjoy.

Postcard the forty-fifth: Distant planetrise

Sunrise and sunset postcards are all very picturesque...

...but in my book, there's nothing like a good planetrise.

A correspondent from a distant moon writes:
"Greetings from my home away from home! Far, Far, away, here is a look at the local planetrise. It's always a sight to behold."

That is one spectacular summer cabin, friend. And you're right -- the planetrise is spectacular. But you've also got some beautiful galactic dust cloud action going on in your vicinity. Truly a special place. Thanks for sharing it with us!
