How's this place work?

If you could take a little mental holiday and go to any imaginary place, where would you go?
And what would you do while you were there?

Send me a postcard, handmade or otherwise, from an imaginary location. It can be a place from a book or a movie or a piece of music, or some other world you made up. On the other side, write and tell me what you've been doing on your vacation from reality.

All postcards to be addressed to:

Soozcat
Wish I Were Here

I'll scan a selection of postcards and post them to the blog for all and sundry to enjoy.

Postcard the eighteenth: 2 SPOOPY

A lot of these postcards didn't have the stamps canceled. I'm not sure why. Such are the vagaries of the United States Postal Service, I guess.

This image is beautiful if a bit foreboding. But what is this place? Shangri-La? The Dalai Lama's secret clubhouse? Let's see what it says.

AAAAH! It's a skeleton! Who writes (with bony fingers, somehow):
"Hello!
I am a spoopy skeleton and I like to scare people with creepy spiders!"

Woo! Get down with your bad self, spoopy friend! (I think you misspelled "creppy," but it's hard to write with bony fingers.) And thank you for the postcard!
