If you could take a little mental holiday and go to any imaginary place, where would you go?
And what would you do while you were there?

Send me a postcard, handmade or otherwise, from an imaginary location. It can be a place from a book or a movie or a piece of music, or some other world you made up. On the other side, write and tell me what you've been doing on your vacation from reality.

Postcard the thirty-ninth: Enchanted carousel

Sometimes you just want to return to childhood.

And this glorious postcard suggests that very thing.


Jenna Chen writes:

I really wanna go on a carosoul. It's been so long! Oh and who doesn't love fireworks? Oh also, ducks on the water are the best.
Hope you have a great day!"

Tell you what, Jenna. There's a great carousel AND a Great Wheel on Pier 57 here in Seattle. Come bring your classmates on New Year's Eve and we'll all ride both en masse and watch the fireworks. Someone will have to provide the ducks, though. (Rubber duckies in Puget Sound, anyone?)
